Google Docs Now Support 12 New File Formats

GOOGLE-DOCSGoogle Docs allows millions of people every day to quickly view their word documents, PDF’s and powerpoint presentation online, without the need of downloading them to your computer.

Grpahic designers often design their graphics using Adobe photoshop. Usually the file format of photoshop is in [.psd] format. If the client doesn’t have photoshop, the designer have to convert it into pdf format and then send it to the client in order to approve its design.

But now with Google Docs Viewer it will be more easier and faster to approve the designs. Recently Google Docs added 12 new file formats for viewing documents online.

Formats Supported by Google Docs:

  • Microsoft Word (.Doc / .Docx)
  • Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 / 2010 (.PPTX)
  • Apple Pages (.PAGES)
  • Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
  • Adobe Photoshop (.PSD)
  • Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF)
  • Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)
  • PostScript (.EPS, .PS)
  • TrueType (.TTF)
  • XML Paper Specification (.XPS)

Just go to Google Docs, Upload the file, and send the doc link to your client. And if the file is already uploaded on the web, just copy the file URL and pass it to Google’s online viewer at docs.google.com/viewer.

Also when you upload these type of attachments in Gmail they will now show a “View” link in the email which will redirect to Google Docs Viewer.

This innovation makes easy to share files with any one. Google Docs is the best online sharing tool and it is adopted by every firm and company to share and to check thir docs and files. Now a day the Google Doc becomes the need of the companies. Thanks for the sharing this information.
