If you have created a Google Plus page for your Website, then now its time to Direct Connect your website with G+ pages. Read this article if you haven’t created one.

Direct Connect is an added feature of G+ pages. Google+ Direct Connect helps visitors find your Google+ page and add it to their circles from directly within Google Search. Just search for a page in Google Search and you can visit their page and add the page automatically to your circles.

Currently this feature is only limited to few G+ pages like Google, Pepsi, Amazon… It has not yet been completely rolled out, but it will be available for your page, if Google finds your G+ page is eligible. Follow the two steps below to make your G+ page eligible for Direct Connect.

Step 1: Adding the Google+ badge on your website.

Visit Google+ badges page and enter your G+ page ID. Your page ID looks something like this https://plus.google.com/{your-page-id-no.}

Select your badge size and code will generate below automatically. Now there are two codes you need to add.

Step 2: Linking your Website on G+ page.

This step is pretty easy. Go to your G+ page, Edit your profile and add your website in the About tab section. And then finally click on Save button. You can also add some links in the Recommended section [right sidebar]. See the image below:

In a way this will help Google to identify site ownership and claiming your Google+ page further. Also this will help Google’s algorithm to associate content when it rolls out Direct Connect more widely. Do share your views if Direct Connect is working for your page.
